Kim: She’s been having a hard time lately… and I think the evaluations just fanned the flames.

Hannah: I just got a memo saying that we were denied organic certification. What happened?
Dan: I’m not sure. The provider we buy from swore up and down that they farmed organically.

Dan: わからないんだ。仕入れ業者は、販売した野菜は全て有機栽培だと頑なに言い張っていたけど。

Sarah:Yeah, I might just buy some. I think it’s good to have some skin in the game, especially since we’re in a growing industry.

Sarah: えぇ、私は何株か買うかも。自分個人でも賭けで投資してみるのはいいことだと思うの、特にうちは成長産業にいるわけだし。

Joe:What happened? I thought you were going to announce your engagement.
Katherine:I was going to but I didn’t want to steal Eileen’s thunder after she told us she’s retiring.

Joe:どうしたの？ 婚約を発表するもんだと思ってたよ。
Katherine:そうしようと思ってたんだけど、Eileenが退職するって発表した後に、主役の座を奪いたくなかったから。

Renee:Did you hear Ralph lost the account because he overslept and was 15 minutes late for the meeting?
Daniel:Yeah, I heard he got quite an earful from his supervisor.

Daniel:あぁ、上司からさんざんお叱りを受けたって聞いたよ。

Alice:Are you sure it’s alright? I can pay you back tomorrow.
Pedro:Don’t worry about it. Mark in accounting paid for my lunch yesterday. I just wanted to pay it forward.

Alice:本当にいいの？明日お金を返すわ。
Pedro:気にしなくていいって。昨日、経理のMarkが奢ってくれてさ。僕も同じように誰かに親切をしたいんだよ。

Gina:Between the new equipment, license fees, and research expenses, I’m a little bit worried about our funds.
Rufus:I never thought I’d say this, but we might need to take out some loans just to keep our head above water in the coming months.

Gina:新しい設備投資やライセンス料、調査費用にお金がかかるでしょ。資金が足りるかどうか、ちょっと心配だわ。
Rufus:こんなこと言うとは自分でも思いもしなかったけど、この先数ヶ月は、ローンを組んで資金を借りる必要があるかもしれないな。
