Vanessa: Let’s make a toast to good friends, good weather, and enjoying the cherry blossoms together!
Linh: [sighs] I don’t know if I can celebrate… I can’t stop thinking about him, Vanessa.
Vanessa: Well, there’s nothing like going out and having a good time with friends to take your mind off of things.
Linh: I guess so. And the cherry blossoms are beautiful…
Vanessa: Come on, you’re in the spring of your youth. It’s only a matter of time before you find someone new.
Linh: Do you really think so?

ある人や事柄をたたえて乾杯する際に使われる表現です。
例）Edは、父親Owenの60回目の誕生日を祝っています。

Craig: I need to take my mind off of it. Let’s go get a drink.
Jerry: 残念だな、今年はお前のとこのチームは予選敗退だな。
Craig: そのこと忘れたいんだよ。飲みに行こう。

“spring of (one’s) youth” 若さの盛り
人生のうち、その人が若くて最も美しい時期を指す表現です。
例）Jasmineは祖母の家で古いアルバムを見ています。

Grandmother: In the spring of my youth, I was quite popular with the boys.
Jasmine: まあ、これ本当におばあちゃん？ぜんぜん違うわ！
Grandmother: 若くて一番きれいだったころよ。男の子たちに結構モテたのよ。
Jasmine: Wow, Grandma! Is this really you? You look so different!

例）Feliciaが親友のSandraと元彼のことを話しています。

Sandra: Forget about him. There are plenty more fish in the sea.
Felicia: 信じられない、あの人もう次の彼女見つけたのよ！
