（1）all [sorts / kinds / types] of

友人や家族、または同僚などとの日常的な会話に使うことができるカジュアルな表現です。

“Ever since I was a kid, I’ve collected all kinds of things. It’s my hobby.”
（小さい頃から色々なものを集めているんだ。僕の趣味だよ）

I’ve had all kinds of food, but French is the best.
（色々な種類の料理を食べてきたけれど、フレンチが一番だ）

ジョンのセリフも以下のように表現できます。

“Wouldn’t it be wonderful to live in a world where all sorts of values are recognized.”
（色々な価値観を認め合える世の中って素晴らしいね）

（2）many different

フォーマルな場面でもカジュアルな場面でも使うことができる表現です。

“There are many different stakeholders to consider when proposing a new pricing model.”
（価格決定モデルの提案をする際には、様々な関係者のことを考慮しなければならない）

（3）a variety of

ビジネスなど、フォーマルな場面で使われる表現です。

“The team, which hired a new coach this year, has faced a variety of challenges this season.”
（今年新しい監督を迎え入れたチームは、このシーズン中様々な課題に直面している）

“Mystery bags have a variety of different clothes inside.”
（福袋の中には様々な種類の洋服が入っている）

（4）a [diversity / plethora] of

“a diversity of ～” は、主に人の考え方や物事に対する視点、またはやり方などについて話すときに多く使われます。“diverse”（ 様々な、多様な）のみでも使うことができます。
一方 “a plethora of ～” は、主に物や選択肢などについて話すときに使われる表現です。どちらもフォーマルな場面で使われます。

“The goal of this survey is to collect diverse perspectives from across the country.”
（この調査の目的は、国中の様々な観点を収集することである）
